Give Me Some Music
©2000 kimrea Some thinking thoughts, Woman sat In greying hair and velvet rags Contemplating the pursuits of the soul in an organic world Rocking her body to and fro Some dreaming dreams, Woman slept In silver clouds and denim jeans Drifting off in a sea of ideas on a concrete bed Rocking her heart against the cold. Give me some music, I need a song And when it's over, send me another one It's never enough, I'm hungry for a tune Do you know where one grows? Some planning plans, Woman reached Past smoke and mirrors and silk tounged suits Under the thumb of control, between steel and stone, standing alone Rocking her soul in the world. Some judging worlds, Woman stood Under glass in canvas shoes Painting a picture of her intentions In a parchment book Rocking her prayers to the wind. Give me some music, I need a song And when it's over, send me another one It's never enough, I'm hungry for a tune Do you know where one grows? |
